We’ve been working hard behind the scenes over the past few months on the development and manufacturing of our flagship product, the Nought.One. Our main focus has been to secure the very best long-term manufacturing partner to bring both the Nought.one and future products to life reliably and to the highest standard.
As part of that process, we’ve been undergoing a meticulous prototyping process, speaking to experienced manufacturers to refine and perfect all aspects of the Nought.one. All of the prototypes we have developed have been promising and made us more confident that the Nought.one is going to be the state-of-the-art electric scooter we envisioned. But we know they can be even better.
If you’ve been with us from the beginning, you’ll know that one of our core values as a brand is to never compromise on quality. This principle guides every step of what we do. We set out to create a product that has the best look and feel on the market, with meticulous design and manufacturing, no compromises. Therefore, we can’t proceed to tooling until we are 100% confident and happy that the prototype is exactly where we want it to be to deliver what we have promised: a product that is faster, smarter, lighter, safer, longer lasting and more supportive.
To ensure that standard is met for the Nought.One and across future products, we’re moving to a new high-tech factory and making some additional adjustments to the original prototype. These changes are being made based on our own experience in the e-scooter industry and the feedback we’ve gathered so far from our first movers.
Over the last few weeks, we’ve been on the ground in the factory reviewing the latest prototype. Once we've given it the green light, we’ll proceed to tooling and production.
We’ll be putting pre-production models through extensive testing, pushing the scooter to its limits so we know everything there is to know about performance on all terrains. We're committed to ensuring that we perfect any final details that could be improved even further, ready for the official launch.
So, when can you meet your ride?
We anticipate that the first Nought.One scooters will be available from early Autumn. We aim to open pre-orders in September and we’ll share all the details as soon as we can. Our newsletter subscribers will hear it first, so sign up here if you haven’t already.
While we can’t wait to have the Nought.One on the roads, we know that the more we do now, the better the product will be when it reaches you. We’re also hopeful that this later launch date will coincide with changes to the law in the UK regarding riding e-scooters on public roads.
